This webpage discusses laundry methods that others have used to clean their clothes and bedding. If you are doing these things and you are not getting better then you must look at other cures. Nothing alive can survive the laundry solutions listed here. There are no super bugs - period.
Using harsh chemicals routinely while doing your laundry can actually cause problems and make your skin hyper-sensitive. Chemicals used in excess such as bleach and ammonia and others mentioned here can leave trace amounts in your clothing and bedding even though they've been through a rinse cycle. Your skin could be reacting to and become hyper-sensitive to the cleaning products that you are using.
I feel better the more frequently I launder my sheets.
Hot Water and Lysol
I wash all my clothes and sheets in hot, hot water and spray lysol everywhere.
Bleach and Ammonia
Do NOT mix bleach and ammonia - a poisonous clorine gas will result that can damage your lungs and even kill you. Use them one at a time but NOT together.
Wash your bedding with hot clorox that's safe for colors. as far as it being on your skin and crawling around you have to use either witch hazel or green rubbing alcohol to kill it on your body. It's very tough to get it off you. Not recomended but ive heard that the ammonia content in windex helps kill this disgusting flea/ bed bug infestation. Borax powder I hear is also useful.
As for my clothes, I didn't want the Bifen near my skin and washing/drying my clothes wasn't killing them, so I bought a deep freezer and did a rotation-- putting my clothes in a week at a time and then keeping them in garbage bags until I got the rest of my house rid of the mites.
Non-Clorine Bleach and Baking Soda
Put all daily worn clothes in a sealed plastic bag and wash in borax detergent. Can put non-clorine bleach and baking soda too. Dry high heat for 45 minutes after completely dry. If you feel them in bedding. immediately put in a plastic bag carefully because they jump and seem to float in the air. I wash all sheets daily.
I wash everything in Oxi Clean.
